Description
The Fishermen Cooperative of Portonovo gather the last fishermen operating in the Bay. The main activity is fishing for mussels, practiced by professional divers who reach 5-10 meters depth to tear of the mussels from the rocks of the Riviera del Conero. The Cooperative carries out a limited fishing to ensure natural reproduction and safeguard the survival of mussels.
The brand name, the date and place of fishing, the trade in sealed bags ensure all a strict adherence to the supply food chain, from the moment of fishing to that of sale to the consumer. The Fishermen Cooperative of Portonovo also practice a small-scale fishing.
