The wine of the Riviera del Conero.
The Rosso Conero stems from vines that come mainly from Montepulciano grapes and to a lesser extent from Sangiovese grapes. It is characterized by intense ruby red color with purple hues. Strongly fruity, it has hints of wild cherry, plum, berries, licorice, tobacco and leather.
The Rosso Conero matches perfectly with meat dishes such as roast meat and game and is enhanced by the the Winegrowers Association of Monte Conero, which collects the wineries specialized in the production of this typical wine of the Riviera del Conero.
The Rosso Conero wine gained numerous awards over the years, it is a DOC wine since 1967 and its "Riserva" version became DOCG in 2004.
